This will govern how users receive their digital products. On the Digital Downloads app page, go to Settings by clicking the gear icon. Here, you\u2019ll have two choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Automatically create fulfilments <\/strong>&#8211; Upon purchase, customers automatically receive a download link by email, and the order is automatically marked as fulfilled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manually create fulfilments <\/strong>&#8211; You\u2019ll manually send the link to the customer and mark the order as fulfilled. This makes sense for customized digital products, e.g., a graphic design commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5 &#8211; Add Digital Products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You add and manage digital products as you would physical products within the Shopify platform. The Digital Downloads app is for uploading and delivering said products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to add digital products on Shopify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to Products &gt; Add Product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the product information\u2014Title, Description, and Pricing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Shipping, uncheck the box labeled This is a physical product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the top of the page, click <strong>Manage<\/strong> next to Sales Channels, then uncheck all boxes next to your sales channels (this ensures your product won\u2019t be published until you upload the digital file)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save product<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the title, click <strong>More actions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Add Digital Attachment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ll now be on the Digital Downloads app page. Click <strong>Upload file<\/strong> and select your digital product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>View<\/strong> in your Shopify Admin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go back to <strong>Manage<\/strong> next to Sales Channels and re-check all boxes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Done<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Rinse and repeat for any more digital products you wish to add.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point, you should organize your products into categories called Collections. Say you sell stock videos. You may want to separate your digital products into sections under \u201cpeople,\u201d \u201cnature,\u201d \u201cfood,\u201d and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do this by setting up automatic collections. Then every product you tag with \u201cpeople\u201d goes into the same group.
