Be authentic.<\/h2>\n<p>You remember what your mom always told you growing up?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust be yourself!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You probably didn\u2019t believe her whenever you were a kid, and maybe you still don\u2019t. But she had a point.<\/p>\n<p>People can smell b.s. from a mile away, even on social media.<\/p>\n<p>If you really want to succeed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quicksprout.com\/the-complete-guide-to-building-your-personal-brand\/\">growing your personal brand<\/a>, then you need to learn how to use Instagram authentically.<\/p>\n<p>I realize \u201cauthenticity\u201d is a hopelessly misused buzzword. But being authentic is still a real and important thing in marketing. It\u2019s not only ok to share about your life. It\u2019s mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t matter what you are posting as long as you get personal. So post photos about your travels. A fitness transformation. Pictures of you and your significant other. Or even just pictures of your dog.<\/p>\n<p>Let people see behind the curtains. Show them the real you.
