{"id":109547,"date":"2026-07-14T12:41:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crazyegg.com\/blog\/?p=109547"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:44:07","slug":"web-analytics-time-series-segment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crazyegg.com\/blog\/web-analytics-time-series-segment\/","title":{"rendered":"Track Web Analytics for any traffic segment over time"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every traffic segment in Web Analytics now has its own time-series chart, so you can see how it performed day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visualize when traffic spikes for certain pages, which channels are declining, which campaigns actually convert, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the Web Analytics dashboard, select a date range of at least 2 days, then click the \u201c<strong>&gt;<\/strong>\u201d button for any audience segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Above the already-existing data table, you\u2019ll now see two charts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Total traffic by segment<\/strong>. This shows daily Visitors, Pageviews, or Sessions for each segment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Share of total traffic by segment<\/strong>. To do this, select one of your Conversion Goals from the menu in the top-right. The charts will then overlay the number of conversions per day across each chart, using the Y-axis on the right for scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And yes, you can export data for all these traffic metrics by day. Download this data by clicking the \u201c<strong>Export<\/strong>\u201d button next to the date range selector, then clicking \u201c<strong>Export to spreadsheet (.xlsx)<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Segmented Web Analytics over time is available now for every Crazy Egg plan, at no extra cost.
