Basic sales reporting and no visuals: One of the biggest drawbacks to VipeCloud is its lack of visual reporting, especially in the dashboards.
Most CRMs have built-in data visualizations that help sales managers and reps interpret their data. Having pie charts, line graphs, bar graphs, and other visualizations helps teams easily uncover hidden patterns.
VipeCloud does offer custom fields, allowing you to track lead sources, company size, and any other desired data points. You can even monitor sales velocity. This is where you can track pipeline performance based on the average opportunity size and how many deals are in your pipeline.
No dialer or call tracking capabilities: Some CRMs have their own built-in dialers and call tracking systems. That allows users to make calls directly from the CRM platform. On top of that, you can record, monitor, and log communications with customers.
Unfortunately, VipeCloud doesn’t offer either service. You’re only allowed to track contacts and how they progress through the pipeline.
No sales forecasting: It can be hard to plan ahead without having at least ballpark estimates of what you’ll earn in the short term.
To be fair, VipeCloud does have a few ways you could project future sales. They provide useful data such as:
- Recurring revenue pipeline
- Average pipeline value
- Average close rate
- Churn rate
- Sales activity data
- Average sales cycle length
Attached to each opportunity, you can also set a probability that it will close.
However, there isn’t a built-in calculator that can provide an estimate of what your sales might look like. So you may need to manually perform the calculations to predict future revenue.
Limited support unless you pay for the upper-tiered plans: While VipeCloud does have an extensive help center that covers just about all of its features, they don’t have a dedicated account manager who works with you to successfully implement the software in your business. Furthermore, there isn’t much of an onboarding experience either—everything comes out of the box.
That said, the Enterprise plan does say that their team will help you build any additional automation that will improve your business. You also get access to phone and Zoom calls with this plan.
