Customers typically don’t buy when first introduced to a brand. For B2B companies, it can take two months or more to make a purchase. That’s why you need CRM and marketing automation software to guide potential buyers to the sale.

VipeCloud aims to do just that. It manages your contacts, deals, and communication history so you can provide a personalized experience for every prospect. The software saves you and your team time by allowing you to build drip campaigns and send bulk emails to many prospects at once.

VipeCloud: The Good and the Bad

VipeCloud is an all-in-one CRM solution to help small and medium-sized businesses track sales and streamline marketing operations.

In addition, they also offer a secondary product called Social Suite. It’s a social media management tool that allows users to schedule and automate Facebook parties, create social post templates, and manage multiple accounts.

What VipeCloud Is Good At

Contact management: Businesses can easily lose track of leads. Some statistics say it can take anywhere from five to eight follow-up touchpoints to generate a meeting, and sending three follow-up emails can boost success rates by over 80 percent!

Contact management keeps your sales team organized. It’s more than just a list of names and contact information.

VipeCloud lets you segment your list in many ways, such as:

  • Location
  • Industry
  • Position in your funnel
  • Specific form signups
  • Products or services bought
  • Behavior

Contact segmentation allows you to send the right follow-up messages to the right people. In addition, you’ll gain insight into your customers. Over time, you’ll recognize patterns and be able to build accurate buyer personas to help make your marketing campaigns more profitable.

Visual sales pipeline: Besides tracking your list of contacts, you also need to see how they progress through each stage of the sales process. That’s where a sales pipeline comes into play.

VipeCloud offers a sales pipeline feature where you can view opportunities in a card layout or table view.

The card layout is a Kanban-style board where you can drag cards to specific sales stages. For each stage, you’ll assign a conversion rate that tells you the percentage the opportunity will likely close.

In each stage, you can see the opportunity amount, expected close data, summary notes, and other important information.

But the pipeline isn’t just for pending opportunities. You can create a recurring revenue pipeline so that you can stay on top of all the recurring deals.

All pipelines are highly customizable to your business’s needs. You can edit the pipeline stages and names to fit your specific sales journey. And you can set the criteria for each stage, so you’ll know which stage each lead belongs to.

Mass emails: Manually sending emails to your contact list could take hours. VipeCloud lets you send mass emails to any list. Whether you want to make an announcement or send out special offers, you can do it all within the platform.

Unlike most tools, VipeCloud syncs email marketing capabilities with your CRM. That way, you can personalize your email based on your CRM data. Even though you’re mass emailing folks, it’ll feel more personal to the end user.

One of the biggest issues with mass emailing lists is the potential for email providers to detect spam. If you’re an Enterprise subscriber, VipeCloud helps improve delivery to the inbox with the Advanced Mass Email feature. Essentially, it’ll slowly send emails out at a rate of one per minute rather than a rapid blast.

All emails can be customized via Rich Text or an HTML Builder. If you want to send visually appealing emails with lots of graphics, you’ll want to use the HTML builder. It comes with a drag-and-drop editor, allowing you to move various visual element blocks to your desired location within the email.

On top of that, it even comes with thousands of stock images for you to use in your email. The builder has an embedded image editor, so you can crop, resize, or add text and background to a picture.

Once you’ve created an email, you can save it as a template, which can be used later for your drip campaigns or autoresponders.

Email autoresponders: You shouldn’t have to manually send messages. Doing so would be time-consuming and simply prone to human error.

With VipeCloud’s autoresponder feature, you can automatically send email and text messages when triggered by an action.

Create AutoResponder feature for VipeCloud.

For example, you may want to set a trigger so that messages will be sent out any time someone

  • Downloads a lead magnet
  • Gets added to an email list
  • Abandons a shopping cart
  • Schedules a product demo
  • Buys a product

The beauty of autoresponders is that they work for you 24/7 and help you nurture leads.

Unlike most marketing automation tools, VipeCloud lets you set any opportunity stage as a trigger. So, you could send a message anytime a prospect shows interest or when a deal is won or lost. For instance, if a deal is closed, you may want to automatically send over a copy of the agreement or add customers to your onboarding sequence.

Lead Scoring: Not everyone is ready to buy your product. Many B2B buyers perform research for months before finally deciding to speak with a sales rep.

Lead scoring allows you to pinpoint who’s sales-ready, who needs nurturing, and who’s not a good fit. That can save you hours and allow you to segment your mailing list into different categories.

VipeCloud offers contact scoring, meaning you assign points based on actions. For example, visiting the pricing page or booking a demo call would cause the lead to earn points.

On the flip side, you can subtract points for prospects that perform negative actions such as no engagement over a long period or downgrading a subscription.

You can also set a threshold score that indicates when a lead is considered “qualified” and ready to be passed to the sales team.

Ultimately, contact scoring will help improve sales efficiency. That’s because sales teams can focus their efforts on leads that are more likely to convert.

Video Emails: If your sales team sends personalized video audits, evaluations, or product demos, there’s a good chance you’re already using screen recording software.

VipeCloud conveniently offers built-in video recording software, so you can record your computer screen and add it to your outreach emails. You also have the option to choose the front-facing camera to show your face for an extra personal touch.

The software also gives you an option to create GIF thumbnails of your video to boost engagement. That way, they’ll see a snippet of your video in the email before they click on it.

The good news is that VipeCloud can track all email campaigns. You’ll be able to track key data such as:

  • Open rates
  • Click-through rates
  • Bounce rates
  • Unsubscribes
  • Replies
  • Anyone who marked your emails as spam

In addition, uploading your video to the content library turns your attachment into hyperlinks. As a result, you’ll also be able to track whether someone has opened your video.

People who watch your initial outreach video may be a good indicator that they may be ready to start a sales conversion.

Social media management: Small businesses can leverage social media to help keep their leads and customers top-of-mind. But far too often, companies neglect to post on social media because it’s time-consuming, and they may not see a direct ROI.

That said, there’s a lot of power in building a strong brand. With social media, you’re able to humanize your brand. And when prospects are ready to buy, you’ll be the first ones they think of.

Besides CRM and marketing automation, VipeCloud also doubles as a social media manager.

They offer a secondary product called Social Suite that allows you to:

  • Schedule social media posts
  • Create templates and sequences for Facebook groups
  • Upload and edit images for social media

Essentially, you’ll be able to queue up posts across all platforms. You’ll never have to worry about forgetting to post since you can batch-create your content and schedule it out for a month or even further ahead.

In addition, the Social Suite product lets you customize templates and send sequences for Facebook groups.

For example, let’s say you have a community of loyal customers in your Facebook group and want to host a challenge that boosts engagement.

You can build templates (or work off of pre-built templates that VipeCloud provides) and then schedule posts to publish at set dates and times.

The platform has a content library where you can store all of your assets. Best of all, it comes with a Canva integration so that you can edit and design your social media graphics directly in your VipeCloud account.

According to VipeCloud, the Facebook Parties feature is best for any business that markets on social media, but in particular:

  • Direct sellers
  • Solopreneurs
  • Small business owners
  • Real estate agents
  • Virtual assistants
  • Mompreneurs

VipeCloud’s Potential Drawbacks

Basic sales reporting and no visuals: One of the biggest drawbacks to VipeCloud is its lack of visual reporting, especially in the dashboards.

Most CRMs have built-in data visualizations that help sales managers and reps interpret their data. Having pie charts, line graphs, bar graphs, and other visualizations helps teams easily uncover hidden patterns.

VipeCloud does offer custom fields, allowing you to track lead sources, company size, and any other desired data points. You can even monitor sales velocity. This is where you can track pipeline performance based on the average opportunity size and how many deals are in your pipeline.

No dialer or call tracking capabilities: Some CRMs have their own built-in dialers and call tracking systems. That allows users to make calls directly from the CRM platform. On top of that, you can record, monitor, and log communications with customers.

Unfortunately, VipeCloud doesn’t offer either service. You’re only allowed to track contacts and how they progress through the pipeline.

No sales forecasting: It can be hard to plan ahead without having at least ballpark estimates of what you’ll earn in the short term.

To be fair, VipeCloud does have a few ways you could project future sales. They provide useful data such as:

  • Recurring revenue pipeline
  • Average pipeline value
  • Average close rate
  • Churn rate
  • Sales activity data
  • Average sales cycle length

Attached to each opportunity, you can also set a probability that it will close.

However, there isn’t a built-in calculator that can provide an estimate of what your sales might look like. So you may need to manually perform the calculations to predict future revenue.

Limited support unless you pay for the upper-tiered plans: While VipeCloud does have an extensive help center that covers just about all of its features, they don’t have a dedicated account manager who works with you to successfully implement the software in your business. Furthermore, there isn’t much of an onboarding experience either—everything comes out of the box.

That said, the Enterprise plan does say that their team will help you build any additional automation that will improve your business. You also get access to phone and Zoom calls with this plan.

VipeCloud Plans and Pricing

VipeCloud offers multiple pricing plans for their two core products—Communication CRM and Social Suite.

You can choose between either their monthly or yearly plan. But with the annual plan, you can save about 20% for paying upfront.

All plans come with a 15-day free trial as well, and no credit card is required to test the product. If you choose their highest-tiered plan for the CRM, you’ll need to schedule a demo.

Communication CRM

VipeCloud Communcation CRM plans with four options and prices shown.

VipeCloud Communication CRM focuses on executing automation tasks in your sales and marketing.

It allows businesses to automate lead generation workflows and manage prospects through multiple communication channels.

You get to choose from four plans:

  • Plus: The basic plan starts at $20 per month billed annually
  • Pro: This plan costs $40 per user per month billed annually
  • Enterprise: Pricing for Enterprise is $60 per user per month billed annually
  • Agency: It costs $80 per agency user per month billed annually

The Plus plan offers all the essential features you’d expect from a sales and marketing platform. You’ll get access to bulk email, texting, and video email.

On top of that, you’ll receive a CRM that lets you manage contacts, opportunities, and tasks.

But for most businesses, you’ll want the Pro plan or above. The Pro plan introduces its automation features and integrations. You can create autoresponders, workflows, and triggers to nurture leads and customers.

Social Suite

VipeCloud Social Suite pricing with two plans shown.

VipeCloud Social Suite CRM is designed to take the manual work out of social media by allowing you to schedule posts on all major platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

It comes with two plans:

  • Social Suite: This plan costs $5 per month (billed annually at $60 per year).
  • Plus plan: The Plus plan starts at $20 per month (billed annually at $240 per year).

The Social Suite plan has all the basic features, such as post scheduling, Facebook group templates, and sequences, along with media options to access royalty-free images.

However, if you want to better align your social media efforts with sales activity, you might want to consider the Plus plan.

This plan provides additional marketing automation, CRM, and support features. We like that you can build signup forms and landing pages, which can help you turn social media followers into interested buyers.

Final Thoughts

VipeCloud is worth considering for small businesses that use email, texting, and Facebook as their primary form of client acquisition. It has an extensive feature set and automates many of the marketing and outreach tasks your team would normally do.

If you want to send mass emails, manage contacts and opportunities, or nurture your audience in Facebook groups, VipeCloud has everything you need.
