That’s a great question. It’s all about being in the right stand of mind. Be ready to clear your mind and allocate enough time to get all your thoughts out. I think sitting in a quiet place is essential as well.

    Hi Russ:

No problem! I wasn’t sure if my comments were going to make me look like a Debbie Downer or something. Do you help manage the CrazyEgg blog?

All of these sites are beautiful… but speaking from experience, I would hold off on creating the beautiful website in the early stages of building an app.

When I was making ProspectSnap, I spent a lot of money (and time) hiring the best designer I could find. The site turned out beautiful and I was super happy when it was done.

But in hindsight, I should have focused more on marketing for our initial launch. All the pretty sites in the world can’t drive traffic to themselves or your page on the App Store.

So before you go out and create that beautiful site, make sure you know how to drive customers to it and your app.
