Over the past 6 articles, I’ve given you more in-depth email marketing information and value than you would normally get in most paid courses.
At the time of this writing, this email marketing series has received…
- 92 comments
- 113 Google +’s
I’ve also received several emails asking about my own email marketing services, and at least a dozen or more emails from people writing in simply to tell me how much these posts have benefited them.
I’m humbled! I appreciate all your responses, and hope today’s article gives you just as much value.
But before that, let’s do a quick review of what we’ve covered so far…
Today, I’ll give you several email templates you can copy and paste into your own sequences.
Feel free to swipe and deploy in your own business 😉
Note: Anything underlined in the emails
is what you would be linking to.
Template #1: Instant Buyers Upsell
This email is best used as the first message people receive after buying a product (or service) of yours. It works well in conjunction with a one-click upsell and will help to both reinforce the buying decision, leading to fewer refunds, and cross-sell your other products and services.
Subject Line: Thanks for purchasing <product name>! (Important info inside)
I want to thank and congratulate you for investing in <product name>. I’m so excited to welcome you aboard and hope it helps you <desired end result>. I’m sure it will. After all, it’s already done so for over <number> people all over the world in various different situations and scenarios.
There are a few important items you need to know…
#1: Your credit card will show a debit for $XX.XX from <your business name>.
#2: To begin using the product immediately, simply <insert download instructions here. If it’s physical, explain shipping times, etc.>.
#3: After you’ve had a chance to go through the product and see how it works for you, I would LOVE to hear your feedback. We’ll be following up with you via email to make sure you’re getting the most use out of it. Plus there’s a little bonus for getting your feedback, as you’ll see when you get the email 🙂
I also want you to know that for the next 24 hours ONLY, I would like to give you a special “customer appreciation” discount. This is simply my way of saying THANK YOU for trusting in us to help you <problem they’re trying to solve>. But it’s only available for the next 24 hours so grab it now. ]
Just go to <link here> now.
Thank you again, and welcome aboard! I’m here if you have any questions and one of my support team will be in frequent contact to make sure you are getting the most out of <your product>.
Template #2: The Testimonial Congratulations
This email is a fantastic way to send out “newsworthy” announcements that people engage with. It also adds oodles of credibility and even creates a sense of community for people who aren’t yet customers. It goes like this.
Subject Line: Help me congratulate <name>…
Pretty exciting news today.
I want you to give a round of applause for <name>. He is a recent customer of <your product> and just sent me the results he got.
Here’s what he said.
So once again, I would like to personally congratulate <name> for taking action and implementing my strategies into his life. Good job, <name>!
If you’d like similar results, just click here to learn more and see if it’s right for you.
P.S. As you may have noticed, the important part of this is TAKING ACTION. My strategies have been proven to work by hundreds of people, all over the world, with varying skill levels. The one factor that determines their success is action doing what my program teaches you. After all it’s impossible to get the results <name> got if you never actually use the strategies! If you’re sick of <pain point the market is feeling> and want to instantly <core desire they’re trying to reach>, just go to <www.yourwebsite.com> and get started. Remember, you’re backed by my <explain your guarantee>, so there’s no risk whatsoever.
Template #3: The “Busted Myth” Email
This is an interesting email because you’re flying in the face of what people normally think about a given subject. It can work for any audience with some slight modifications because every market has “best practices.” By going against those best practices and providing proof, you stand out as the dominate leader. And that brings in more sales.
Subject Line: This is going to piss some people off…
For the past 10… 20… probably 30+ years, everyone in our industry has simply “accepted” the fact that <insert a commonly held belief in your market>.
This has been a best practice in the industry for literally decades. People have sworn by it.
But what if it were all a big myth?
I’m here to tell you that it is.
<Insert an explanation here of why the commonly held belief is actual false and can hurt results>
Worse, this is just ONE myth that many people (probably you) are following by the so-called experts in this industry. Most of them are giving you re-hashed, out-dated advice that USED to work, but doesn’t anymore.
That’s why <your product> is different.
Instead of simply repeating what you’ve already heard 100x, I actually went out and tested everything. I risked my own money to discover the TRUTH behind the industry’s leading secrets.
And I’d like to share them with you.
If you want to know what REALLY works for <core desire they’re trying to achieve> instead of wasting your time with outdated tactics and your own guesswork, I suggest you check it out.
As you can see, they are simple emails. Nothing too complex or fancy. But they hit on key persuasion elements such as credibility, curiosity, trust and others, and get the job done.
Feel free to use as your own and swipe as necessary.
