Infographic: What Are The Best Times & Days to Post to Social Media?

by Sean Work

Trying to find the optimal times and days for your social media posts can be a difficult challenge.

It requires months of testing. You have to make an effort to post at different times each day for each social media account, while tediously recording your results. There are tools out there that make this process easier, but it still requires a conscious effort to scatter your posting times around the clock. However, you may find a sweet spot that doubles your engagement and traffic.

Sometimes it’s a good idea to use heuristics. Instead of starting your social media “science project” at 1 AM on a Monday, take a look at this infographic below. Start with these suggested times and slowly deviate from them to see what trends appear. Be sure to carefully record your results.

A big thanks goes out to Quicksprout for sharing this graphic!

Very nice infographic. I’m curious however as to if the various times and numbers are still relevant as I noticed some of your sources date back to 2013. For example, with the (fairly) recent update of the Facebook algorithm users news feeds are no longer displaying posts in chronological order, how does this come into play?

Well, the real takeaway is to test your own times and days. Your audience will be more receptive at specific times and days. Even with algo updates, continually tracking and testing different times and days will keep you up to snuff on what works best for your brand.
